We find life when we lead others to live like Jesus.
We believe God uses relationships to change each of us for the better, and the reality is that we don’t experience relationships when we’re sitting in rows. Learning together is an important first step, but it’s not the only step. When you’re fully involved in the life of a church, God uses other people to help you grow, and he uses you to help grow other people.
Jesus doesn’t want the church to be an exclusive club. He wants everyone to know him and follow him. So we think it’s vital that as we become fully engaged in church, we invest in the lives of the people around us. That doesn’t mean that we treat them as projects. It means that we genuinely care about them, get to know what’s happening in their lives, and, when the time is right, invite them to take an appropriate next step toward Jesus.
Inviting others to your home, church and Savior can feel like a big deal and that’s because it is. But big things happen when people take big faith steps.
Here’s a few useful tips to help you Invite a Friend.
You can do this, we’ve got you covered.
The launch of a new message series is a great time to invite guests to Neighborhood.
When they arrive on campus, bring your friends to the NEXT Tent. There, they can get connected, ask questions and receive a gift from us.
Big holiday weekends such as Christmas and Easter and big events like S’more Visalia and Serve Visalia are also great times to invite your friends and family.
Use social media to post pics, tag friends and share Neighborhood with them before they ever arrive.
If your guests are bringing kids with them, bring them to the Kids Check-In area directly behind the Church Office building.
Show people Jesus. Don’t just tell them about Him. Remember, Jesus is for everyone.
