Our Guest Services team is made up of a network smaller teams working together to make the Neighborhood experience memorable and meaningful. NC Guest Services exists to inspire people to live like Jesus by creating an atmosphere of warmth and welcome for our guests.

Volunteer Job Descriptions

Welcome Center
The Welcome Center is the informational hub on campus. This team answers questions, provides directions, and gathers basic info from guests.

Outside Greeters
This friendly team engages with people on campus by meeting guests at the curb and answering questions.

Inside Greeters
This friendly team welcomes people, opens doors and distributes programs.

Hospitality Host
We want to make our guests (and regular attenders) feel welcome every Sunday! A hospitality host goes a step farther than a greeter by seeking to make connections with our first-time guests, answering questions, and giving tours of the campus even walking families through their first Check-In experience.

These outgoing volunteers will “swim” around before and after the services to find people who might be just “standing around” and approach them to get to know them. More importantly, like a good party host, they are to introduce people to each other and connect them.

This team has the opportunity to make guests feel comfortable by welcoming them into the auditorium, escorting them to open seats, minimizing distractions and collecting the “giving to the mission” during the service.

Parking Team
Our parking team assists with incoming and outgoing traffic control on Sunday mornings and for special events. They are most likely the first to greet people when they get out of their cars. Some team members get to offer rides for our youngest guests in red wagons from their car to Check-In. This team works hard and knows how to have fun. Some say there is a special place in heaven for these folks.

This team includes Hosts and Staff who greet guests at the NEXT tent after services. They answer questions, help them take their next steps, follow up with them after Sunday and invite them to the next DiscoverNC.

Security and Medical Teams
Help ensure the safety of people and property during weekend services and special events. Coordinate medical situations and provide assistance.

Setup/Tear-down Team
This is the best way to get to know people and work behind the scenes at Neighborhood. Serving on the setup and tear-down team is more than moving stuff. It’s about preparing a space for people to connect with each other and worship in our gatherings.

Guest Follow-Up Team
A team of people who meet each Monday afternoon to follow-up with guests and connect them into the life of Neighborhood Church.

Neighborhood Cafe Team
This team helps manage the Neighborhood Cafe on Sunday mornings and special events. Some are baristas, cashiers, greeters who help make and serve drinks, food and yummy cafe treats!
