We believe God’s hope for the world is the local church.
The local church is His Plan A, and there is no Plan B. We (new believers, volunteers, staff members, and pastors) are all called to fulfill the Great Commission. Christians are not just to be people who follow Jesus. We are also tasked to make new followers of Jesus.
There is an inextricable connection that exists between learning to live like Jesus and leadership development.
They are two sides of the same coin. One side is character and the other side is competency. The Great Commission calls us to develop, not just do. We must make disciples, not just be disciples.
Most church leaders understand the importance of leadership development, but few actually do it. Here are the barriers:
- They don’t know how.
- They don’t have time.
- They don’t have a framework.
- They don’t have the resources.
But we have a solution for that problem: a Leadership Pathway.
It’s a ministry-specific leadership development track designed for leaders within NC who want to grow personally and excel in their ministry area.
The primary goal of this Leadership Pipeline is to equip followers of Jesus at Neighborhood to inspire more people to live like Jesus.
We aim to do this in three ways:
- theological & spiritual formation.
- developing their leadership capacities through interactive teaching & learning.
- giving participants face time with NC pastors, staff and ministry coaches.
