FEBRUARY’S FOR PROJECT
The one thing we want to be known for as a church is that we’re FOR Visalia. So every few months, we get on the same page and accomplished something specific to make a difference in our community.
In the month of February, we’re partnering with Salt + Light to collect non-perishable food items to support neighbors living in the newly opened Neighborhood Village in Goshen—a housing-first community for those previously experiencing chronic homelessness.
Here’s how you can help:
SHOP
Here’s a shopping list you can use: Cup of noodles/top ramen, Granola Bars, Cookie Packs, Beef Jerky, Little Debbie items, Fruit Cups, Apples Sauce, Chips - boxes of 40, Oatmeal, Tuna Packs, Can of Chicken or Beef, Anything that is one step/dry goods or you can add hot water to/use while campingDONATE
Drop off these items to Neighborhood on Sunday morning or anytime our office is open during the week. (Monday-Thursday 8:30AM-3:30PM)
NEIGHBORHOOD DEGREE
At Neighborhood Degree, we help students get to and through a college/career degree program so that they can reach their full potential. We do this through partnering students with an individual mentor and a team of volunteers to help them discover their career goals, apply for degree programs and financial aid, and mentor them through their chosen degree program until they graduate. Join us as we invest in the next generation of students!
