The Beginner's Guide to Winning

The Beginner's Guide to Winning

In honor of the Super Bowl, we spent last Sunday exploring how to “win” in life. Some might say success is defined by accomplishments or wealth, but we believe Jesus invites us to something greater—a lifestyle of love, peace, wisdom, and confidence.

Check out Sunday’s message above, then, continue the conversation with the reading plan and resources below.

This week, we’re reading selections of scripture from Sunday’s teaching. You might follow the plan below or simply read it through multiple times this week.

  • Monday: Romans 12:1-2

  • Tuesday: Philippians 4:6-7

  • Wednesday: John 14:27

  • Thursday: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

  • Friday: Psalm 40:1-3

  • Saturday: Matthew 7:24-28

Check out the resources used in this week’s teaching, as well as books you can explore if you’d like to dive deeper into our conversation.

  1. How do you personally define success?

  2. How does your faith in Jesus influence your view of success?

  3. Jason mentioned on Sunday that perfectionism could discourage our growth. Do you struggle with perfectionism? If so, how does that affect your life?

  4. Stephanie talked about the impact prayer has on our lives. Even small, consistent conversations with God can make a big difference in our mental and spiritual health. Does prayer come naturally for you, or is it more of a struggle?

  5. Jordan and Forrest talked about the importance of “renewing our minds”. What steps do you need to take this year to fix your eyes on Jesus and renew your mind? Is it a new habit? Mindset? Seeking help? Something else?
